Location:
The base is located in Kamienna Nowa, in Biebrzanski Park Narodowy (National
Park of Biebrza). 800 metres from the base, a bathing place at
Biebrza is found. Victualling in D±browa Bia³ostocka (13
kilometres from the base).
Access to the base:
By car,
from D±browa Bia³ostocka by localities: Ma³yszówka,
Osmo³owszczyzna, Stara Kamienna.
By rail, the track Bia³ystok – Suwa³ki
through Sokó³ka (from Sokó³ka as a slow train). Getting off
at station in Ostrowie Biebrzanskie.
Values of the environs:
The base is found away from cities and industry, in oasis of stillness
and peace, in place where the nature is still not polluted by
civilization. Excellent location of the base enables watching,
in its nearness, magnificent kingdom of flora and fauna in
National Park of Biebrza. There are splendid rooms for wandering
(e.g. pill-boxes since the World Second War). You can sail by
ship on the lakes in Augustów. You can go by bus to Kruszyniany
and Bohoniki (the only old-time mosques in Poland), to Stanczyki (huge old railway viaducts), to Osowiec (an ancient
stronghold), to Gier³o¿ (Hitler’s pill-box).
Conditions of the base:
The base has 90 sleeping-rooms in tents (beds, matresses, blankets). The
building with kitchen and toilets is convenient for working and
service. The building has 2 rooms for staffs, a dining-room 120
m2 large, wash-stands for girls and boys with hot
water and shower-baths. The base has a field for football,
volley-ball and badminton, a tennis-table (we lend sports
equipment). |
